This celebration and exhibition honors three local and talented youth photographers: Alé Rivas, Michelle Montenegro, and Ketzally Alcala alongside three global photographers, publicly nominated and selected by a committee of youth and creative professionals, whose art has made an impact on the photographic world:
● Nilupa Yasmin (Birmingham, UK), award-winning artist and educator with a primarily lens-based
practice. She explores the principles of art and craft and the expanded materiality within
photography.
● Alexis Hunley (Los Angeles, CA, USA), Alexis Hunley is a photographer whose art centers on the
intersectional experiences of underrepresented communities. Her life long goal is to create work that
celebrates the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
● Djeneba Aduayom, (Fallbrook, CA, USA), Djeneba Aduayom is a self-taught artist whose work is
marked by a sense of movement, performance, and personal interrogation. Her aesthetic is as much
influenced by her multidisciplinary training and extensive travels, as it is by her multicultural heritage.
